The winners of the 2018 eFestival of Words Best of the Independent eBook Awards winners have been announced. Children of the Shaman didn’t win in the Urban Fantasy category (a well-deserved win for B.R. Kingsolver with Chameleon’s Death Dance), but it was great to have made the final shortlist, and my friend Cora Buhlert, who hosts the Speculative Fiction Showcase, was a runner-up in the Best Short Story category for her story Baptism of Fire.
